A rake is ideal for raking up leaves, grass clippings and other garden waste. For raking up leaves, a leaf rake is ideal. A hand rake, on the other hand, with its sturdy teeth, is very practical for turning and levelling small areas of heavy (clay) soil. The flexible teeth of a lawn rake make it ideal for grass.
